WOW...what can I say? We have a THREE YEAR OLD...woot, woot! =)
We had a birthday celebration brunch for Jaime on Holy Saturday (prior to his surgery last week). It was a fun day with family and friends! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of Jaime's birthday wishes, cards and gifts...but most of all, we'd like to thank you for your continued support along this journey!
Here is a slide show from Jaime's "CARS" themed birthday party to some pictures from his actual birthday, yesterday! If you click on any picture it will take you to the entire photo album.
As for an update, well, Jaime is set to go to preschool next Wednesday. He will be going with a nurse, mostly because of his unpredictable respiratory status. Also, he continues to have significant digestive issues...we're still trying to figure out how to resolve these. There is talk of adding yet another medication that would be to help with motility. Jaime isn't eating any more than he was a year ago, though he is starting to chew a bit. At last weigh-in, Jaime was 31 lbs. and 3'2" tall. Other than that...Jaime continues to get PT, OT and SLP on a weekly basis which will continue at his school. Other happenings at school will be music class, gym class and....drum roll please....SWIMMING...Jaime's FAVORITE! :) I'll keep everyone updated on how he's doing, but I think he'll do well because he'll be going to Broadmore (the special needs school that he's been going to for early childhood intervention). Final update...Jaime HAS been seen using the potty...we're far from a fully potty-trained preschooler, but we're on the right track, which is HUGE!
That's all for the update, enjoy the pics and stay tuned to see what adventures Jaime takes us on next! =)
