In just 12 days, Jaime will be THREE! I can't believe how fast time flies!
Just wanted to let everyone know that Jaime will be getting his 2nd set of ear tubes in and his adenoids out on Monday, April 9th. PLEASE, please, please...keep Jaime in your thoughts and prayers. While this is a "routine" procedure for most...Jaime having all of his medical conditions...most importantly...Hemophilia...makes this procedure much more risky for him. Jaime will be admitted post-op to The Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for a few days. Then, he will most likely come home with an IV so that we can infuse Factor at home while he's healing.
Once healed...Jaime will be going to school! Woohoo!
We had our final IEP (individualized educational plan) meeting last Friday. Jaime will be going to Broadmore and he will be going to school with a nurse. Additionally, he will receive PT, OT and Speech each for 30 minutes a week while in school. Other things offered at school are music, gym and swimming, so Jaime will be pretty busy. He can go to school 5 days a week for 2 hours a day, but I think we're going to start him out at only 3 days a week. He's still very weak and tires easily, so I don't want to push him. We'll see how it goes! :)
I just wanted to take this opportunity to Thank everyone who wore turquoise on Saturday, March 31st for CDH Awareness...your continued support means the world to us! We all wore our turquoise and the boys got to go to an Easter Hunt with their cousins...followed by lunch. All of the kids had a GREAT time!
That's the latest news! Wishing everyone a blessed Easter and remember to keep Jaime in your thoughts and prayers on Monday! Thank you!
