Jaime Albert Trost was diagnosed with Right-Sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at 19 weeks gestation. He was born at 34 weeks gestation on 4/16/09 as a hemophiliac with his liver and intestines in his chest. Jaime had his 1st repair surgery at 23 days old. He re-herniated in September 2009, causing his bowels, kidney and liver to be up in his chest. He had his 2nd repair surgery at 194 days old. Though Jaime still has many medical challenges ahead of him, today he is a thriving KINDERGARTENER who has beaten the odds!

Christmas Pics!

Here's hoping you all enjoyed your holidays! Jared was in a Christmas play at church on the Sunday before Christmas and Christmas Eve. After church we went to my brother's house. Unfortunately Mr. Jaime wasn't feeling well...he had 102 fever. He was in the ER on the 23rd for bad constipation and now has some respiratory infection going on!
We had my family over on Christmas for lunch. Despite Jaime not feeling well, we all had a nice time. We'll be celebrating Christmas with Tom's family in Columbus on January 9th when I graduate! :)
Speaking of Columbus, we had the pleasure of seeing and staying at my sister's new place on Tuesday night. I'll post those pics another time, it's really neat, though! Thanks for your hospitality Titi, can't wait to see you on January 8th! We were in Columbus because we headed down to Cincinnati for Jaime's appointments. I'll save that info for another day!
For now, I'd like to share some of our Christmas pictures with all of you! We had several hundred between all of our cameras, but here's the "short" version! HA! Enjoy!
Thank you all for the wonderful cards and gifts that you sent, the kids had a very nice Christmas and were way too spoiled thanks to all of you! :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
