We've had such a busy week....mostly keeping up with Jared and his activities. Today, Jared had his 7yr well check (he's PERFECT-and the dr. couldn't believe how "ripped" his abs are, especially for someone so young). While we were there, I needed to get a growth check on Jaime. His current stats are 20.02 lbs (5th% for adjusted age) and 29 3/4 in. (20th% for adjusted age). So, in short, he's kind of at a stand still for growth. :( At least he's cute! :)
Jaime's been "eating" more things. I wouldn't say more volume, just new things. He ate 3 rigatoni's, a few baby spoons of baby soup (it's a new Beechnut product), about 1/4 pot sticker, 4 mandarin oranges, 1/2 of a banana, 1/4 of a chicken nugget and Nilla Wafers. Sounds like a lot, but this was over the last week or so. Other than some minimal spoonfuls of baby food and Gerber Puffs, Jaime's had nothing but Pediasure-Banana and Vanilla are his favorite. The Pediasure is the only thing giving him his calories, as all of the stuff he's eaten isn't enough to give him any calories to speak about. At least he's trying more things.
Earlier this week, Jaime and Jared had appointments at the Hemophilia Treatment Center. Jared had to get labs drawn, Jaime didn't. They accepted his labs from his admit in May. Speaking of...if you remember there was some concern with his low Factor IX level, well, in talking with the hematologist, he said that it's nearly impossible to have Hemophilia A & B, the two would counter act each other. He said his low number was simply age appropriate. :)

I think that's about all to report on Jaime...not much really going on with him, same old, same old! He continues to have therapists and nurses in and out of here about 4 to 5 times a week...the revolving door is open Mon.-Fri. (UGH!) I LOVE our home care team, but sometimes it's a bit much to have "visitors" every day!
