New "Walker" & another Dr. Appt

We inherited a therapeutic walker for Jaime this morning, courtesy of Jaime's PT. He absolutely HATED it! Granted, he's not feeling the best...again! He spiked a fever of 101.8 earlier, so back to the drs. we went. He's still on his antibiotic, steroids and aerosol treatments. After getting a chest x-ray that looked "good" (Jaime's "good" not normal child's good) the dr. feels that Jaime now has a virus. We're going to keep a close eye on him...if his breathing or cough gets worse, we're going to continue steroids with a 2 week taper! We hope it doesn't come to that, but once again, we've got quite the miserable little boy! He was never over his cough/congestion, but overall he seemed to be doing better! Now, we're back to square one...and not eating. Fortunately, Jaime was the same weight he was last week, so that's a good thing. Oh, by the way, that weight it 20.12 lbs. Slowly, but surely, we're getting there....the added Boost to the Pediasure seems to working in Jaime's favor, he's gained 2-4oz (depending on what weight you're looking at) since Cincinnati and that was just about 3 weeks ago! That has probably been his biggest weight increase in months!
Here are some pics of Jaime's new walker...the he loves oh, so much...NOT! You can tell in the photos that Jaime has issues with his left leg position...in addition to balance and core strength in general. I think that's why he hates the walker so much, it forces him into the right walking position which is so incredibly hard for him.

Truly, my neighbor said she's NEVER heard him cry before, that's pretty much all he did when he was in the walker! This is Jaime & Michelle, his PT.

Still angry, but realizing that he's not coming out of that contraption any time soon!

Jared came to see Jaime's new wheels...is that a smile?!? Eh, close enough!

Jaime's getting fitted for his orthotics on Wednesday, I sure hope he's feeling better by then! I imagine the molding process won't be a fun one for him! Here's to a better tomorrow for Jaime! :)
