Jaime Albert Trost was diagnosed with Right-Sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at 19 weeks gestation. He was born at 34 weeks gestation on 4/16/09 as a hemophiliac with his liver and intestines in his chest. Jaime had his 1st repair surgery at 23 days old. He re-herniated in September 2009, causing his bowels, kidney and liver to be up in his chest. He had his 2nd repair surgery at 194 days old. Though Jaime still has many medical challenges ahead of him, today he is a thriving KINDERGARTENER who has beaten the odds!

Jaime's Day by Jaime!

I'm not too good with this long typing thing and it's REALLY late (Mommy thinks I'm sleeping...Shhhhhh), so I decided to make one of those fancy slide shows Mommy's been talking about, the pictures tell all about my day. This is pretty fun! (I did type captions, but they don't seem to be posting in the blog, but if you click on one of my pictures, it will take you to the album and you can read the captions...those are what really tell what I was doing!)

    such cute photos!! Last meal before surgery--- GOOD LUCK! He looks so healthy- you would never be able to tell.. that is the kicker isn't it!!

    I hope you are getting some rest!!
