Jaime Albert Trost was diagnosed with Right-Sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at 19 weeks gestation. He was born at 34 weeks gestation on 4/16/09 as a hemophiliac with his liver and intestines in his chest. Jaime had his 1st repair surgery at 23 days old. He re-herniated in September 2009, causing his bowels, kidney and liver to be up in his chest. He had his 2nd repair surgery at 194 days old. Though Jaime still has many medical challenges ahead of him, today he is a thriving KINDERGARTENER who has beaten the odds!

3-22-09

Hello Family and Friends,

I just wanted to take a moment to ask you to pray for Baby Maxton's family. Maxton, a left CDH baby, was born on March 3rd, 2009. He lost his battle with CDH last night at 11:56 P.M. http://babymaxton310.blogspot.com/2009/03/our-sweet-angel-baby.html

His parents are David and Ashley, they are wonderful people. We have been in touch with them through blogs and emails over the last couple of months.

It is so sad to hear how many CDH babies have been losing their fight lately. As with hemophilia, I hope that one day they find a cure for this horrible condition.
