First off Mr. Jaime had Dr. Turner (Derm. from Kirtland, Ohio, of all places) and his nurse Sherri very busy this morning with his dressing changes. Due to his EB, it's taking roughly 2 hours for the nurses to properly change his dressing on his sores. After his busy morning, he was wide awake...he even smiled a few times. I tried to get a picture, but I'd always catch the tail of it or it would be gone! BUMMER!
Anyway, this afternoon, Jaime had a visit from his CDH "brother," Ryan Toney. Ryan was a LCDH treated in Cincy and is now 21 yrs. old! Tom said that Jaime was soaking up some "survival" vibes from Ryan! Thanks for visiting Jeanie (Ryan's mom) and Ryan!
After their visit, Poppy (my dad) got to meet Jaime! He came all the way from Maryland to Columbus to Cincinnati just to visit! Jaime was awake on and off for that visit! Grammy and Jared came back with Poppy, too. So, Jaime was quite the little "star" this afternoon.
We came back to the RMH for dinner. They had a fantastic cook-out for all of us here! When we came back up to our room, we found a giant stuffed polar bear dressed up like a bunny on our bed. It was from the RMH. Jared claimed it and is sleeping with it as I type in his new bed set up!
Before Jared went to bed, we went to see Jaime. He's doing just fine. The CDH drs. took his Nitric Oxide down to 20 from 40, his Flolan is at 5 from 10 and his O2 is still in the 30's. He's very stable from the CDH stand point, it's the EB that needs to get under control. Also, his potential blood infection they are now thinking may have been just a contaminated specimen, as the picc site was blistered from the EB, as well. (That's why Sherri and Dr. Turner where at his bedside most of the morning.)
All and all, today was a good day! It was good to see my parents and it's nice having Jared around...we missed him sooooo much! He's so good with Jaime, too. He just loves him, so I think he's happy to be back with us, too...for the time being! :-)

Jaime looks so great! It's funny, like Davis, he has sort of an old, wise look to his eyes. I am so happy for you guys!
