Jaime Albert Trost was diagnosed with Right-Sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at 19 weeks gestation. He was born at 34 weeks gestation on 4/16/09 as a hemophiliac with his liver and intestines in his chest. Jaime had his 1st repair surgery at 23 days old. He re-herniated in September 2009, causing his bowels, kidney and liver to be up in his chest. He had his 2nd repair surgery at 194 days old. Though Jaime still has many medical challenges ahead of him, today he is a thriving KINDERGARTENER who has beaten the odds!

2009 Hemophilia Walk!

Hello Family and Friends,
Tom and I were toying with the idea as to whether or not to participate in the 2009 Hemophilia Walk given all we've been through this year. Well, we've officially decided to have a Team this year again! It is truly a GREAT cause and BOTH of our boys will benefit from the proceeds.
So, our Team name this year will be "Jared & Jaime's Helicopters." This was named by Jared. The Walk will be on Saturday, August 29th in Akron, Ohio.

Last year's walk was not only a HUGE success, it was a blast! Tom's band played, I think they are planning on doing it again this year?!?
