Here's my Post!!!

So, I got a lot of grief from several people today for not posting last night, sorry guys, here's your post, I'll cover yesterday AND today! :-)
Yesterday was day of life 62, but technically it was Jaime's 2 month birthday (April 16th to June 16th). He spent his birthday sleeping with his Winnie the Pooh blanket from Poppy (as evidence from the photos) just about the entire day!
Nothing was changed in rounds except they weaned his Methadone.
He only had one bowel movement yesterday (probably because he was busy sleeping all day, HA!), so today he got prune juice and a suppository. He spent most of the day grunting and finally, when we came to visit after dinner, he decided to poop! YEA, JAIME! After the boys left, I bathed him with Liz (his night shift nurse) because he was STINKY! (He's wearing his "Daddy's Little All Star" outfit in honor of Tom's birthday tomorrow!) I thought he'd go to sleep, no such luck...he didn't fall asleep until 10:30, which seems to be his norm. He's sort of getting into a routine going to sleep between 10:30 P.M. and 11:30 P.M. and waking up usually around 6:00 A.M.
Anyway, since he was having poop issues, the drs. didn't change anything in rounds today. Tomorrow, the drs. are planning on weaning Jaime to 3 liter o2! I'm hoping he'll do OK, since he's been doing so well on 4 liters. Once the liters go down, the feeds go up and oral feeds can start...let's keep our fingers crossed! Speaking of feeds, Jaime is now having some issues with gaining weight the way the drs. would like him to. They did go up on his calories the other day, today, he lost weight, so we'll have to see what the drs. say about that in rounds tomorrow.

As for Jared, he's good. He has Kid Concoction Camp this week (Tues. & Thurs.). Yesterday they made purple goo, it was so cool! He loved it...I did, too!
Today we took Jared to Coco Keys Water Park. We had been promising him we'd go there one day, today was the day. It was so much fun. It was nice to get Jared (and us) out of the hospital for a few hours. He's been so good and such a trooper here, not that we're on vacation, but it's nice to do fun things with him sometimes, too. (Plus, I got discounted tickets, so that was an extra added bonus!)

In other CDH news: Kamryn and her twin sister Brooke were born today. Kamryn is a left-sided CDH'er and Brooke was born with pneumonia. Both girls are stable in the NICU at Children's in Dallas, Texas. Stephanie has always been very supportive of us (we "found" each other online just after our babies were diagnosed with CDH in January). Please send extra prayers to the Studdard Family. Also, Jared would like to welcome Hollie into the Big Sibling Club! She's the twins' big sister! Congrats and best wishes to all of you! :-)

As for our Cincy CDH'ers:
We'd like to welcome Giavanna into the "Recently Repaired" club! Now, all of the CDH'ers in Cincy have been repaired and are on their road to recovery! YEA!
Carter A.'s ML&B procedure went as expected, by late this afternoon he was alert looking as cute as ever back in his bed.
Carter M. was fast asleep when I went to see Beth today, but he's getting ready for extubation any day now!
