20 Days in Cincy

Well Folks, today was our 20th day in Cincinnati....can you believe it? We can't!
So much has happened in the last 3 weeks. From two moves back to back, to 10 OB appointments, lots of bedrest, Easter with a visit from Nana & Papa, 2 procedures and then the surprise arrival of our little Jaime! A 5 day hospital stay for me, 2 visits from Titi and Grammy, a visit from Uncle Scott and 3 trips back and forth to Columbus for Jared and another visit from Nana. All the while, Tom being the runner and the one "holding down the fort"-he's been great! Driving the streets of Cincy is becoming all to familiar and we honestly feel like this is "home." We hope and pray to keep this home for a long while...or at least long enough to bring Jaime safely home to Cleveland!

As for Jaime, overall he had a good day! He only had one little issue after a diaper change caused him to have the hiccups which led to some de-sating and a need for intervention by his nurse and the R.T. He did much better after a little suction, a position change and some Versed. Oh and the icing on the cake was Mr. Jaime had his first, second and third poopie diapers today! This is a really great sign because even though his bowels are in his chest area, they are working properly!
Tom and I missed rounds this morning, we all decided we needed hair cuts, so that's where we were when the docs came around-rounds are "anytime" on the weekends, so it's hard to judge when they'll be. Anyway, I did speak with the NP who told me that the docs were thinking that surgery will be happening next week. She said that one of the cardiologist's thought that the last echo read on the borderline of sub-systemic-that's where Jaime needs to be for surgery. So, the bottom line is everyday we are getting closer and closer to his repair.

Jaime had lots of visitors today, both of his Grandma's visited. What's special about that is Grammy (my mom) is visiting from Maryland and Nana (Tom's mom) is visiting from North West Indiana. Titi (my sister) came for another visit, too!
Jaime's a pretty popular Cat, Jared is, too! :-)
