Hello,
Jaime is still holding his own. We spoke with Dr. Kingma today (pulm.) he said that Jaime's doing good that they are weaning his Versed and another medication, I can't think of the name right now, but it's supposed to help with the pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Kingma felt that Jaime didn't need it anymore. The surgeon has pushed the surgery back to Thursday, as this works better with the schedule....this of course, providing the echo tomorrow is what they expect it to be.
Since the drs. are weaning the Versed, Mr. Jaime was quite awake today and not liking the fact that he has a tube down his throat. He was gagging on it alot, he even cried a few times...tiny, soft little cry noises. His breathing tube has a bit of a leak, so he's getting some air around it...that's why we were able to hear his "cry." His face was evident of crying and he made a little tear. Poor guy!
In other news, Jaime had another visitor. Mary from U of C, one of mine and Tom's former students. It was so nice to see her. Thanks for visiting, Mary!
Well, we're off to the hospital to say good night to little man!
More later!
Love,
Sheryl
P.S. Thanks Colleen and Fam for baby-sitting our house and letting it breathe today! We love and miss you!!! :-)

Jaime is doing so well! He is also SO FREAKING CUTE! Here's hoping that surgery is just around the corner and that it goes perfectly :)
