Jaime Albert Trost was diagnosed with Right-Sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at 19 weeks gestation. He was born at 34 weeks gestation on 4/16/09 as a hemophiliac with his liver and intestines in his chest. Jaime had his 1st repair surgery at 23 days old. He re-herniated in September 2009, causing his bowels, kidney and liver to be up in his chest. He had his 2nd repair surgery at 194 days old. Though Jaime still has many medical challenges ahead of him, today he is a thriving KINDERGARTENER who has beaten the odds!

We're moved in to our home away from home!

Just wanted to let you know that we've officially moved in to the Ronald McDonald House here in Cincinnati. Our room is fairly large with ample storage...unlike our hotel. Also, the staff here is great, just about all of them are volunteers. Jared's made friends with some of the staff members and has had a blast checking out the house, there's lots for him to do here. I will take photos tomorrow when it's day light, plus with all of the moving today, I've been contracting a lot, so it's time to get back to laying down.
Have a good night!

Signing off from our home away from home!

  3. Glad you are close and you can breathe easy - I agree with both - try to rest. Though you are a Mom of a CDH baby - I may as well talk to a wall! :-) Stubborn lot that we all are!
