4-9-09 Appointment, Surprise & Thank You's!

So our day started at Good Sam's with a very long NST...Mr. Jaime was wiggling so much that the nurses couldn't get a good strip on him. Then, I had another ultra sound to check my fluid...well, that's up to 34cm, AGAIN! This is exactly where it was when I had the reduction at 29wks. I talked to my nurse, Steve, about this, he's not sure the drs. will drain me again, but I am having a lot of contractions...and with minimal movement, too. My next set of appointments are on Tuesday.

Now, as for the surprise....we were called into Steve's office in between my appointments to find a Skype Webcast set up with Tom's St. Anselm students on the other end. They weren't the only ones there, Fox 8 Cleveland, news anchor, Wayne Dawson was there, as well. Clarissa Saar, a 5th grader at St. Anselm, nominated Tom for Fox 8's "Pay it Forward" segment. Wayne Dawson gave Clarissa 8 $50 bills to "pay forward" to Tom, for us to use towards Jaime's medical expenses. This was coordinated by Steve Imhoff (RN @ Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati), Kerry Kawa (computer teacher at St. Anselm), Joan Agresta (principal at St. Anselm) & the Fox 8 News Crew. This will be aired in Cleveland, but we don't know when as of yet. I will post the date and link to it when we know for sure!
Not only did Clarissa do this for us, but yesterday the entire school had a "Mr. Trost Dress Down Fundraiser." Here is a picture of the students from this morning's webcast. We can not thank them enough for what they and Fox 8 did for us today!
