T’was the night before Cinci and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The bags were all packed in the Subaru with care in hopes that the traffic will be light and clear!
Jared is nestled all snug in his bed, while Tom is out gigging with drums in his head. And I on my couch with my computer on my lap, having just settled down with a little night cap (chocolate milk).
Ah, if only this perfect little story could last forever, however, we know that the next few weeks will bring a whirlwind of events. We are not overly excited about starting this chapter of our CDH journey; I think the correct word would be anxious. We just don’t know what’s going to happen; it’s all of the uncertainties that are creating all of the anxieties. What Tom and I do know is that we feel we’ve chosen the best center available to us to care for our little Jaime. We also know that no matter what, we will have no regrets!
Thank You’s
We’d like to thank our doctors here in Cleveland for helping us get to this point with minimal complications and for sending us to Cincinnati for a second opinion.
Special “Thank You’s” go out to all of Tom’s schools and employer (St. Felicitas, St. Clare, St. Anselm, St. Mary’s in Chardon and MusicAlliance); your generosities have meant more to us than you will ever know!
We’d also like to thank our church community and friends, both personal and virtual for all of their cards, emails and prayers.
Lastly, we’d like to thank our family for all of their love and support! We couldn’t have come this far without any of you!
Here’s hoping that Cincinnati allows us to bring our little guy home one day for all of you to meet!
Signing off from Cleveland for the last time while Jaime is still safe inside me!
Happy thoughts to all and to all a good night! :-)
