Hello All,
I know that many of you have been waiting for a post from us, so here it is!
Yesterday, was VERY eventful. It took a very long time to get the amnio reduction. I finally had it at 6:00 P.M. Dr. Brady removed 5 liters of fluid from me. I felt pretty good after the procedure. I went from 42.32 cm to 6. However, Mr. Jaime didn't like the procedure.
About 1:00 A.M. they decided that it was time to take him, so they prepped both Tom and I for the OR. I had a c-section and delivered Jaime at 3:58 A.M. today (4-16-09). He is 34wks. gestation and was 5lbs 10oz. I do not have a height yet, as I wasn't given one!
He did not cry, nor was he blue. They got him semi-stable in the NICU here at Good Samaritan Hospital (that's where I'm at). Then, they transferred him to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where at last call, he was stable. Tom went over there and took some photos of him. I am going to post all of the photos so far in a slide show on the side of the blog.
Dr. Lim, Jaime's surgeon said that Jaime's lungs look a little better than anticipated, thank God. Let's hope that we're not in the "honeymoon" stage and that Jaime stays on the incline to stability!
We ask that you continue to pray for our little guy as he embarks upon his CDH journey.
Thank you so much,
Love,
Sheryl & Tom

I am praying for an uneventful CDH journey. Hopefully he will coast through the procedures and be home in no time.
